NEW STATE UNLOCKED: AtariNights Expands to Delaware
April 2026 β The Arcade Archivist
It started with a single quarter in California.
When AtariNights launched, the mission was straightforward: build the most honest, most complete directory of retro arcades in the Golden State. No ticket-redemption halls. No laser tag. No prize counters. Just real machines β cabinets, pinball, and the kind of venues where someone clearly loves what they do.
California kept us busy. Twenty-three verified venues across eight regions. EightyTwo in the Arts District. Pacific Pinball Museum in Alameda. MusΓ©e MΓ©canique on the Wharf. Neon Retro Arcade right here in Pasadena. The state had more than enough quarters to fill a bucket.
But the mail kept coming in. DMs, emails, form submissions β players from Texas, Ohio, New York, and yes, Delaware β asking the same question: "When are you coming to us?"
Today we have an answer.
STAGE 2 HAS LOADED
AtariNights has officially expanded beyond California for the first time.
Delaware is now in the directory.
We know what you're thinking. Delaware? The First State? The state most people fly over between New York and Washington? That Delaware?
Yes. That Delaware.
And before you dismiss it, hear us out β because the retro gaming community in the First State has been quietly building something real. From the boardwalk barcades of Rehoboth Beach to the collector-grade showrooms outside Wilmington, Delaware punches well above its weight for a state you can drive across in forty-five minutes.
Our team spent time verifying every listing β hours, addresses, phone numbers, what's actually on the floor. The same standard we apply in California applies in Delaware. If it's in the AtariNights directory, it earned it.

WHY DELAWARE FIRST?
Fair question. With fifty states to choose from, Delaware might not seem like the obvious move.
Here's the honest answer: the community led us there. Delaware had the strongest volume of venue submissions outside California in our first six months. Players on the ground were sending us venues, photos, hours, and corrections with the kind of energy that only comes from people who genuinely love this stuff and want it documented.
That's the AtariNights signal. Wherever the community is most active, most vocal, most hungry for a real resource β that's where we go next.
Delaware answered the call louder than anyone expected.
HOW THIS WORKS β AND WHY IT MATTERS
AtariNights is not a Yelp scrape. It's not an algorithm pulling from Google Maps. Every venue in this directory has been researched, cross-referenced against primary sources, and verified by a human who cares whether the Pac-Man cabinet is actually working or just a prop.
That takes time. It takes community. And as we expand state by state, it increasingly takes you.
If you know a venue that deserves to be in this directory β whether you're in Delaware, Denver, or Duluth β the submission form is at atarinights.com/submit. We review every single one. The good ones go live. The ticket halls don't make the cut.
DELAWARE HIGHLIGHTS
Here are some of the standout venues now live in the directory:
Delaware Pinball Collective β A dedicated pinball destination with a curated collection of machines spanning decades of pinball history.
The Hideout Arcade Bar & Grille β A proper barcade with food, drinks, and a solid lineup of classic cabinets.
Bellefonte Brewing Brewcade β Craft beer meets classic gaming in a relaxed, community-focused setting.
1984 β The name says it all. A love letter to the golden age of arcades.
Captain's Quarters Arcade β A boardwalk-style arcade keeping the classic seaside gaming tradition alive.
WHAT'S NEXT
Delaware is Stage 2. We're not stopping here.
The roadmap is community-driven β whichever states generate the most verified submissions, the most engagement, and the clearest signal that real players want a real resource, those are the states we build next.
Right now the leading contenders include New York, Texas, Illinois, Washington, and Florida. That could change tomorrow if a flood of submissions comes in from Montana.
Watch the site. Watch the socials. And if your state isn't in the directory yet β that's your cue.
