ABOUT ATARI NIGHTS
"In 1972, Atari changed everything. We're still chasing that high."
THE MISSION
AtariNights.com was born from a simple frustration: there was no single, reliable place to find every retro arcade, barcade, and pinball venue in California. Sure, you could Google around, check Yelp reviews from 2019, or ask on Reddit — but the information was scattered, outdated, and incomplete.
We set out to build the definitive directory. Every venue verified. Every address confirmed. Every hour checked. From the neon-lit corridors of EightyTwo in downtown LA to the historic Musée Mécanique on San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf — if it has cabinets, we want it here.
This isn't just a database. It's a love letter to the golden age of the arcade — that magical era from 1978 to 1995 when a quarter could buy you three lives and a shot at immortality on the high score board.

THE ARCADE ARCHIVIST
AtariNights is curated by The Arcade Archivist — a lifelong collector, player, and historian of video game culture. Deepest expertise runs from 1972 (the founding of Atari) through 1999 (the twilight of the arcade era), but the passion extends to every era of gaming.
The Archivist's philosophy is simple: every player belongs here. Whether you're a hardcore pinball wizard chasing multiball, a family looking for a fun Saturday afternoon, a bar-hopper seeking craft cocktails with your Galaga, or a competitive gamer hunting tournament brackets — there's a cabinet with your name on it.
